Contemporary Christmas Table idea – Fresh Pink

Who says your Christmas table has to be red, gold OR green? Go for something fresher this year and choose pink in all shades. After all if it’s good enough for Pantones colour of the year it’s good enough for your table right? You could add some silver to make it feel even more full of festive sparkle, or introduce a dash of red. Or, just stick with the pink and use blush, magenta, cerise and pale pink in combination. Teamed with green is quite striking too.

Pink to make Santa wink!

Botanical Christmas Table

If you are a regular to my blog you’ll know I’m a fan of all things biophillic – that is designing a room to introduce as much of the natural world as possible. This year, you can do this at your Christmas table too.

How do you give your table a real botanical feel?

Think swathes of greenery down the middle as a centre piece dotted with wooden candle holders. Wooden chargers underneath stone plates, and plenty of green. Pick holly from the garden (or garden centre!) and add a sprig to napkins, stand candles in wreaths and add some divine smelling cinnamon sticks and dried oranges. Can you tell I love this theme!

This one is really out there, but embrace it and it can look truly stunning. Go monochrome to achieve a really clean, elegant and modern tablescape this Christmas. A good thing about it is most of the tableware you’d need to buy will not be as expensive as it’s not the ‘traditional’ Christmas colour palette. A good idea is to check out your local vintage stores for some 80’s tableware and charity shops for chargers, napkins and candles.

Black accents are on-trend in the home, so why not for Christmas!
